German minister Hopes Bush is “Shot Down”

If you want someone to lose elections, you never use the expression “shot down”. I never heard that. Just try to go around Germany and say: “you know, I wish Chancellor Schroeder to be shot down”, and see what happens.

I have never seen a President treated as badly as Bush has been. I was not a supporter of Bush when he ran in 2000, but I changed my mind when I saw how he leads. He surrounds himself with talented people, and he tends not to change his mind based on popularity polls.
He is a very poor speaker. But my father was a very poor speaker, and he was the hardest-working and most honorable man I have ever known.
Have you noticed that Bush does not insult or even speak badly of the people who oppose him? That only seems to make them angrier.
