We are moving to the US
Saturday, November 26th, 2005 -- BuzzurroJ.Doe ed io ci trasferiremo negli Stati Uniti entro poche settimane.
In un altro post, tratteremo piu’ in dettaglio delle motivazioni che ci hanno spinto a questa decisione.
Per il momento, diciamo che ci stiamo trasferendo li’ allo scopo di migliorare la nostra vita.
Invece di fare come tanti, che si lamentano, e basta, delle cose che non vanno nella loro vita quotidiana, noi cerchiamo di cambiarla in meglio.
Quindi, tra un po’, i post del blog Buzzurro verranno sparati non dall’Italia, dove siamo attualmente, ma dagli Stati Uniti.

J.Doe and I are moving to the United States in a few weeks.
We will discuss more extensively the reasons of this choice.
Now I will just say that our move is aimed at improving our life.
We are not acting like many who just complain about things that don’t work in their lives, without doing a thing, instead we try to improve ours.
So, in a short time, Buzzurro’s blog posts will be published not from Italy, where we currently are, but from the U.S.

Yes, I agree with you. It’s hard to imagine a future here. And what I imagine I don’t like. We want to live, not just to survive.
And, there are other reasons why we move.
I will discuss about this topic later, but… in a nutshell, here our life kind of sucks, there our life will likely be better.
United States aren’t heaven on earth. Nowhere is heaven.
But I’m fed up with many things of our lifestyles here in Italy, so that’s why we’re getting out of here.

It describes Italy’s future. It is depressing. The newsstand version of the magazine has a 16 page pullout special on Italy.
You will carry the best of Italy in your hearts and memories. This is amazing news.

I feel like my comment on the post about pharmaceuticals is a big coincidence with this decision. Of course, I’m sure you’d thought about this for a long time, long before my comment appeared. Have you read Deirdre Straughan’s article about India and Italy? The part about the stagnation of Italy might be of interest to you. She linked to it on Expat’s In Italy.

That’s the very reason my husband got out and stayed out. In bocca al lupo! O in culo alla balena! Qualsiasi preferisci. Spero che tu piaci la vita negli Stati Uniti. Sono sicura di una cosa: Presto trovarai qualcosa da lamentare negli Stati Uniti e poi viva il blog! L’America non è mica perfetta. Mi dispiace per il mio italiano orribile, ma devo fare pratica perché durante Natale, andrò in Italia e troverò i miei suoceri! Quando partirete ai Stati Uniti?

I looked for that article by Dierdre Straughan on Expat Express. I couldn’t find it, which probably isn’t surprising since I also get lost going in straight lines. I did find another though. I posted it.
Penso che il tuo italiano vada bene. So bene che ci sono molti problemi negli Stati Uniti. In fatti, stavo pensando di mattina di un soggetto per un post.
