Mi e’ piaciuta la traduzione letterale dall’italiano: “cosa vogliono, che ci mettiamo una scopa nel c**o e cominciamo a scopare ?”

Io rido per non piangere, in effetti sembra che sia questo quello che vogliono.

Sembra che J.Doe ed io stiamo “scappando” dall’Italia nel momento migliore.. Proprio adesso che ci sono “segnali di ripresa”…

Confindustria plauded Berlusconi and sponsored it for four years and now they come to us asking for sacrifices.

Lifetime contracts in Italy do not exist anymore. Nobody count on that. All new contracts are temporary, all positions can be blackmailed, nobody gets a pension even if paying taxes for it, and almost everybody in these positions works MORE than due already.

I don’t work for my pension, that’s for sure. I act like I don’t care, that’s all.

And the 19th century, please! They don’t know the first thing about 19th century. That’s the ideal age to have an endless struggle with workers, widespread of marxist theories (or alike), unjust miserable life in the countryside and in cities, prostitution at every corner, comunards, barricades, nichilism, anarchism, poetry, literature, music…. wait, let’s have 19th back, that’d be fun!

Those lifetime employment contracts are a big problem here. I hear too many stories of people who do nothing at work because they can’t be fired, meanwhile others who want to work can’t even get a job because the employers think all people are alike.
A company should give raises to employees based on their merit rather than who their friends or family are.
I also don’t think it will increase productivity. Instead of doing nothing at their desks for 5 days the employees will just do the same thing (nothing) in 6.

How bout MERIT-based employment? ya gotta be USEFUL to your company to be kept by your company. I really think the fixed, lifetime, no-chance-of-being-fired contract is one of the main culprits here… once you have this kind of job, why bother doing anything? you’re set for life. (as an aside, having only short-term contracts, the other extreme, is not the solution either…) adding another work day will increase costs, but I doubt it will increase productivity…if anything, I would expect it to undermine it.
