The Buzzurro blog has 2 writers.
One of these is of course Buzzurro. Buzzurro is the technical one. The computer wizard.
J.Doe is, well, she writes many posts, but as one can probably tell, is far from being a professional writer. You can say she is technically challenged, if you want to be P.C. about it.
Here is a story from our early days.
J.Doe calls Buzzurro at his place of work in a panic. “The printer doesn’t work !” She says.
Buzzurro replies “Are you sure? Is it plugged in?” Because a few weeks ago J.Doe said the monitor didn’t work when it was just not plugged in.
J.Doe answers, a little frustration in her voice. “Of course it’s plugged in.” And thinks “Does he think I’m an idiot?”
Then Buzzurro says “Is it turned on ?” Because last week J.Doe had the same complaint about the printer, but forgot to turn it on.
“Yes, it’s turned on !” J.Doe says with emphasis.
“Well, I’m at work. I’m busy. I’ll check it out when I get home”, he says and then they end the conversation.
Hours later at home, Buzzurro says to J.Doe, “Show me what is wrong with the printer.”
She turns the computer on. Turns the printer on. Hits the print key and then shuts off the computer. Nothing happens.
And then turns around to Buzzurro who is standing behind her “See? It doesn’t work!”
Buzzurro then says in astonishment “But you turned off the computer ?!?”
And J.Doe responds with all the confidence of the hopelessly ignorant “Of course I turned it off. I only wanted to print, and the printer is still on!”
OK, so now several months later into our blog I have figured out that the computer needs to be on for the printer to work, but I am still a long way from being a technical genius like Buzzurro. Give him a big round of applause. Not only does he do ALL of the technical work on our blog, he also puts up with my computer questions.
