It’s Not Easy At All Being A Blogger In Egypt

Sunday, April 29th, 2007 -- Buzzurro

as you can see from all cases of bloggers arrested, or threatened from the police.
My (obvious) advice to them is: quit blogging, move to a free country (like USA), and resume blogging from there.
Good luck, Sandmonkey.

Farce Awards 2006

Friday, December 15th, 2006 -- Buzzurro

This is the fourth year that the Weblog Awards take place.
Let me say they are a farce.
The rules say it is not allowed to vote more than once in 24 hours from the same computer.
Although, it is very easy to cheat and vote multiple times per day:

For those who wants to vote more than once a day, just go to root:\Documents and Settings\userid\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\
#SharedObjects\????????\weblogawards.org\award_poll_1_15.swf\
and delete the file poll_34.sol.

Apparently, this or other techniques have been put into practice during this edition of the Awards. Some claimed they have seen exponential, miraculous growths of votes, at frequencies of hundredths in hours.
Personally, I can say that tonight I casted a vote. Then, I could see the total votes for all competitors in the same category. Then I refreshed the web page from which I voted, and saw that the votes of one of the competitor blogs increased by one. Then, I refreshed the page after one second. The votes for that blog increased. Then, I refreshed. Then, they increased again. And so on. And so forth. Nice, huh ?

Il Camillo che ci piace

Sunday, December 11th, 2005 -- Buzzurro

Weblog Awards 2005

Thursday, December 8th, 2005 -- Buzzurro / VERSIONE ITALIANA

Weblog Awards 2005
How glad I am !!!! I came home from work and found out that the blog I set up for a hobby has been nominated among finalists of Weblog Awards 2005, as the best European blog non U.K. !

At first I thought: they must have made a mistake !! :)

J.Doe and I thank those who nominated us, as we thank the 4 people who voted for us ! Thanks to all of the 4 !

Now Davids Medienkritik is leading the top European list. I admit I didn’t know it before. His blog is pretty. He got 400+ votes so far. How can we catch up now ?

Among the nominees, I noticed a certain Emmanuelle.net, interesting. At first I thought it was related to the well-known erotic movie character. Instead, it’s just an homonym.

I would suggest/advice/ask/beg (beg ?) you to cast a vote for us, for Nickie Goomba, and/or for the following Italian blogs: Free Thoughts, Otimaster, The Right Nation, Robinik. You can cast just a vote every 24 hours up to December 15th.

You can vote by going to this page. In case you want to vote for Nickie Goomba, the web page is here.

How to Fake a Google Page Rank 10

Monday, December 5th, 2005 -- Buzzurro

Here is a technique is explained for giving your site a Page Rank of 10. Supposedly it works. Being Buzzurro.net brand new, after one week of life it has a zero PR, and a TTLB of “insignificant microbe” or something. Here is a site with a PR of 10 for demo purposes.
If, though, you want to check a demo PR 9 site, PR 8 site, or any PR down to 5, they have it.

Anyway, I think I will NOT give this technique a try…
